In the first book of the prophet Samuel, Chapter One, found that Israel was a man named Elkanah, he had two wives, Hannah and Penina. Hannah was barren and had no children. Ana Penina irritated, angry and saddened that God had given him no children.
Elkanah loved Hannah and preferred, Ana could have asked her husband to fire the other (as did Sarah, Abraham's wife), but would not solve the problem in its own way. Ana came to the Lord, prayed, let her not depart from God's grief. This was done year after year. Many times we solve
problems in our own way, do not turn to God or we do at the end of everything or we come before Him for a short time and after a short wait we despair and desist; Ana persevered over the years (1 Sam. 1.7).
Scripture tells us that Hannah prayed in bitterness of soul, and wept profusely, as she continued praying before the Lord, Eli, the priest was watching her mouth, but Hannah spoke in her heart, and only moved her lips, and his voice was not heard, and Eli thought she was drunk and said: "Until when will you be drunk? Digest your wine." Ana
not react badly to Eli, and before God, nor to its rival. Reactions to provocation or misunderstanding or resentment against God, bring down and trouble our spirit.
Ana went to the Lord (1 Sam. 1:10,11).
Are you in a critical moment?, Are you in a dead end?, Maybe this is your time, go to the Lord.
King David was a critical moment, after committing terrible sins before God, but he came to the Lord in asking humiliation purification and forgiveness, and found him (Ps. 51.7); Ana also humbled their souls before God.
Today, some people turn to God in prayer in a haughty and arrogant, demanding and commanding as the Sovereign God when and how He should act, the Blessed Word of God tells us that "God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Imagine for a moment that we start to mistreat or unfairly persecute Christians, many were cast into prison, tortured, threatened, stripped of property, etc. "react that way? as we'd head to God? begin a" spiritual warfare "against Satan and his hosts? invoke God's trial against the unjust authorities for their abuses against us, it looks like the first reacted Christians in that situation, "and released, went to their own and reported all the prinipales priests and elders had said. And they heard that, raised voice to God and said, Lord, thou art the God who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is that by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? They met the kings of the earth, and the princes were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ. For truly united in this city against thy holy child Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, to do whatever thy hand and thy counsel determined before it happened. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word, by stretching out your hand to that do healings and signs and wonders through the name of thy holy child Jesus. When they had prayed, the place where they were meeting shook, and all were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God boldly "(Acts 4.23-31).
" You ask and receive not, because you ask amiss, on your pleasures "(James 4.3). Ana asked God to deliver what you asked, she sought the glory of God.
Many today are looking for money, his own glory, their own benefit, look for them, and forget the glory of God.
Our prayers must be "Thy will be done." Prayer is not intended to alter the eternal God's plan and purpose, but it is fulfilled in the time and the way He has established, Elias knew that after three years of drought, God would rain, but prayed fervently for her, Daniel knew that after 70 years of Babylonian captivity, God would restore his people Palestine, however prayed earnestly for it (Dan. 9), Christ knew that after his death, He would be glorified with eternal glory belonged to Him even before the world was, however, He prayed for this (John 17). Our prayers: "God, thy will be done in my life, fulfill your purpose in my life, Glorify in my life ...".
In this story the first book of Samuel, was at stake the leaders of Israel and the nation itself. Sacred text tells us that the priests the sons of Eli were wicked men who had no knowledge of God, blasphemed God, also despised the offering of the Lord and even slept with women who served at the tent of meeting, no his father, Eli, will impede (1 Sam. 2.12,17,22, 3.13). Samuel would change the sinful condition of the priesthood, and the course of the whole of Israel Nacon.
God and his purpose must be first in our prayers, Samuel, God fulfilled his purpose.
If God had advanced its response to ease the burden of Anne, were shortened opportunities for repentance sons of Eli, if late, Ana and Israel would suffer more from the account. God's timing is right, not a moment before or after.
As we mature we realize that our comfort is not as important as that he might be glorified.
is good to wait on the Lord: "Hold on the Lord Be strong and let your heart, if, waits for the Lord" (Psalm 27.14) "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospers on your way to the man who bringeth wicked ... The Lord will help them and deliver them the freedom of the wicked, and save them, because in him "(Psalm 37.7,40).
His plan and his time is perfect, also their way of doing things. Undertake its program
eternal God, and his work is perfect, no one will hinder.
God remembered Hannah (1 Sam. 1.19), but before that he gave his grace (v. 18), the grace of God was enough.
God said to Paul, "My grace is sufficient" grace God gave to Paul and also gives us his grace to us, what is our problem? "Health, family, work, rejection, weaknesses? We come to the throne of grace, there he will meet the deepest needs of our heart.
